Under the House AGAIN!

So yesterday I spent the whole day trying to defrost pipes in my bathroom. I didn't notice they were froze until 10 in the morning. It was just the toilet which is the last pipe on the line. Anyway, I didn't think I could find where it was froze but thought I would try. I climbed under the house. It is only 3' of space under there so I started to get a little claustrophobic. When I got back to the area under the bathroom I found dire news. There was a leek. Out I climbed to talk to Tate about it. Now what? I decided to cut the insulation open and look and see if I could find it. Where do I cut? Well, I climbed back under and cut it open. I didn't realize that my house is so well insulated underneath. There where 3 layers of that nasty pink stuff that I had to cut through. I found the line but didn't have a flashlight to look up inside so out I climbed. I found the only flashlight to our name (a 3 inch LED light that doesn't shine very bright) and climbed back under. Sure enough there was a leak but it went to the sink and not the toilet. I peeled all the ice off the waterline to see what was leaking and it was coming from under the sink and not the line. So I climbed back out and went in the house. Thinking now that the toilet line goes from the sink to the toilet I went in my bathroom and proceeded to poke a hole in the bottom of the cabinet. NO waterline to the toilet but the leek was on the shut off valve right there under the sink. I didn't need to poke that hole. OPPS! Fixing the leek was easy. I just tightened the fittings. Now, what about the toilet? I decided I would put a heater in the bathroom and see if that wouldn't warm up the pipe. NOPE! So back under I went to put the heater under the house. THAT WORKED!!! But now it is dark and who's going back under the house to get the heater? Not ME!!!! I bribed Drake to do it. He was more that willing when I offered a dollar. HE HE!! I'm so rotten!

Christmas Time!

I love Christmas. I love the feeling in the air. I love the lights. I love the smells. I love being Santa. One of my favorites is watching good heartwarming Christmas movies. I get more excited about the presents I give than getting presents. I hope I can help my boys feel the special feelings I get around this time of year. I get more emotional than usual and I love feeling the Spirit of Christ. We had family home evening last week and we watched the nativity on video. It set the mood just right. I just hope I can keep the feelings I felt that day alive and not get caught up in all the stuff.

Not a fan of the COLD.

Not much new around here. I have decided that I really don't like the cold weather. I love the season changes but with that here in Emery County comes the wind. And that makes winter hard. I just want to curl up by the fireplace and not move until Easter. The last few days have been really hard on me. I want to get so much done before Christmas and I haven't had the energy. On Saturday morning I woke up kinda stiff and my back hurt. By that night I new something was not right. Tate took me on my birthday date and we had a good time but before the night was over I felt sick to my tummy and my back still hurt on the right side. I woke up Sunday feeling really achy all over. I knew by then that I had a kidney infection. I waited until Monday morning to go to the Doctor. Yup, bad kidney infection. I felt awful all day yesterday and today. I hope tomorrow brings good news.
